NTT: Tainted Jacob - Character Mod
A downloadable mod
You really hate yourself...
This mod basically tries to recreate Tainted Jacob from The Binding of Isaac Repentance, making him as frustrating as his version form the original game, or maybe more because of the close corners...
Pasives:
- Is faster, moves at 4.2 speed when normal, when he's a ghost he moves at 4.5 speed.
- Has a dead brother that turns him into a ghost of 1 hp if he touches him.
- When ghost jacob touches Esau, he dies.
- Esau charges towards Jacob if he gets too close.
- Esau deals 20 dmg per frame to enemies and some props. Almost an instakill, be carefull with the throne.
- Esau will explode when a portal appears, turning jacob back to normal.
- Some mutations have extra effects to make runs easier (Hammerhead, Euphoria, Strong Spirit and Stress).
Active (Anima Sola):
- Using your active chains Esau for around 6 seconds (12s of coldown).
- Using your active while Esau is chained makes him free and he charges towards you.
Throne Butt:
- Birth Right: Just another Esau, Dark Shesau.
Ultras:
- Ultra A: Old Times Where Better... - You can kill Esau, making him explode. But you will turn into a ghost when that happens.
- Ultra B: Birth Right v2 - 2 more Esau, faster anima sola. Have fun.
Notes:
- The "cool esau" was inspired by https://www.tumgir.com/tainted-esau.
- I'm gonna do a b skin or something soon.

how to load .rar mods please HELP!!
Just extract the mod then type /loadmod {route} in char selection screen
heyo! really enjoyed playing your mod (yes, I like cbt, how could you tell), but I've noticed some bugs and small things missing so I'm reporting these to you:
1. dark esau is supposed not to follow you when you stand, he is supposed to just closely stand near you if you don't move. he can still start dashing at you tho
2. enchained esau is not supposed to turn you into ghost on touch
3. resurrecting jacob in co-op doesn't give him his hp back, he respawns with 1 hp. if I'm not wrong this happens only if that jacob died in the ghost form
4. using anima sola on 2 dark esaus from birthright is supposed to unchain them one by one each use, not both instantly
5. please make esau spawn after like 5 seconds or so. instant spawn can lead to spawnkills, I have experienced that several times
I also made a resprite of the character https://twitter.com/deactivated_200/status/1551254069838323712 for the better look. if you'd like to animate things based on my sprites, maybe this could be added to the mod too
this report is based off the version before one that got an updated portrait btw, but if you haven't changed anything code-wise, it still might be accurate

heyo! I actually really like this mod, i think its a really wild way to play Nuclear Throne- I actually made a portrait or the character!
i got it workin' in game too though Esau is cut off a bit- its not perfect :p
If you want, you can use it in the mod, just make sure to change the sprite dimensions in the gml file!
global.spr_portrait[0] = sprite_add("sprites/portrait.png", 1, 20, 310);
that seems to fit well, but feel free to experiment with it if you want!
(I can probably send u high quality versions of the sprite elsewhere if you need too)

I like your color pallete, maybe i could use it for a b skin or something like that since i'm still happy with the original one.
As for esau beeing more aggressive, i don't think it's a good idea since it would be too annoying, close corners and fights in general would be hell. And i'm adding that fire trail, i figured out how to do something similar.
You have a point, i think i fixed it. Tell me if you see another thing.
I don't have any other project in mind for now, maybe TBeth or something, but i don't think i'll be working on it soon. Thank you anyway :D
